Maker Story

One bench, one pair of hands, no shortcuts

Elena Marques has worked the same wooden bench for eleven years. Every piece sold here was drawn, sawn, soldered and polished on it — never sent out, never mass produced.

It starts with a sketch, not a mould

Each design begins as a pencil drawing pinned above the bench, then a wax model held against the wrist or ear until the proportions feel right. Only then does metal get cut. Because everything is formed by hand, small differences survive between pieces — a hammer mark, a slightly deeper polish. We consider these the signature, not the flaw.

A studio that stays small

Two people, a shared bench and a limit of forty pieces a month. Keeping the studio small means we can answer every message ourselves, repair anything we have made and keep our supply chain short enough to actually verify.

Sustainability, stated plainly

  • Recycled and traceable metals

All gold and silver is refined from post-consumer scrap by a certified European refiner. We publish the refiner's certificate with every order.

  • Stones chosen one at a time

Pearls come from a single family-run farm; sapphires are lab grown. Nothing is bought in bulk and nothing is bought unseen.

  • Packaging that can be kept

Linen pouches, uncoated board and paper tape. Our premium gift wrapping uses the same materials — no plastic film, no foam inserts.

  • Repaired, not replaced

Every piece carries a lifetime repair and re-polishing service. Send it back and it comes home restored.
